Im in the same exact boat. Im a backend guy, i whip up the API and datastorage stuff real easy but then i smack my head against the desk for weeks to get a dated af looking UI slapped together. I recently found the Mantine UI react component library tho and im liking it.

"Develop products -> more and more products -> there will always be products that fail -> don’t want to be forgotten or want to store them somewhere -> product graveyard
I personally think that there should be no problem logically. The key point is to show value to users. "

ok, so i guess the question is, what makes you so sure this logic is sound? cuz from first glance, it does not seem sound to me. ok people develop products, sure, more and more pile up, sure. some will fail sure. Ok. im with you. Heres where you lose the logical part.

"dont want to be forgotten or want to store them somewhere"

..... why would i want that? i mean, we already put our stuff on github, or we can just store it on a file on our computer. Why would i need a web hosting service for a product i dont want to work on, dont want to maintain, and will bring in no money. and then you want ME to pay YOU for this? come on man... so users are basically giving you free IP, mountains of it, and you should be paid by the users for that?
I dont see the logic in this at all.

  1. Design is less important than you think.
I made 3 different landing pages for my product, thaught there was something wrong with it every time and made a new one from scratch. Complete waste of time. Pretty design doesn't change your value proposition and is never going to be a reason someone buys. Sure, good design can improve conversion rates, but if there is no instrinsic demand for what you offer then design won't help. 0•x = 0

I mean, i havent seen the other landing pages but the current ones design is likely a big contributor to driving away potential users. The problem is it doesnt offer ANY details regarding the 'when?, where?, how?' regarding the product. I have the 'what?', youre helping me write a memoire via AI. cool, thats useful for the few people who want to do that. But like how? when/where/how do i give details of my life to the ai that will become my story? You dont explain ANYTHING about what your product entails besides 'a story' and 'ai' without me having to sign up for your service. no fuckin way am i signing up to an email list when i cant even tell when the product is or how it would work. Your "free demo" needs to be an ACTUAL free demo, open and available to all and not something you get to try AFTER you sign up. This is why no one is signing up, becuase your design doesnt tell anyone what theyre getting.

number #1 review suggests the best part of your app is the 3rd party Ai model that youre just calling from an API. lucky for you, some people are ignorant enough to think you actually made your own AI, and are giving you decent reviews based on that alone.
"Great AI with some app-related drawbacks
Amazing AI model with a not-so-good app. There are some instabilities here, there and everywhere. For instance, chats do not save. This is despite the existence of a save chat option. The app is prone to crashing, and there are a number of performance related issues like lag.
I will say though, that while the app for the AI is subpar, the AI itself is actually pretty good. It's up to par with GPT-3.5, and generates responses similar to it. Despite my dislike of the app, I would still give this app four stars, docking one star mainly due to the non-functionality of the save function. Had the save function worked, this app would've been perfect."

small UI note, on screen sizes > 600px > 800px (like most tablets will have) your hamburger icon gets covered up by the sign up button, and at some sizes its not clickable because the sign up button covers it too much.

pressure drives progress. No pressure, no need for progress. You work harder when youre broke and hungry than when youre comfortable.
