Haven’t been following the NBA that much. How would you guys/gals say he has been so far? Is he still a positive court presence like he has been throughout most of his career? Is he still a good defender?

As well all know, in his earlier years, LeBron was arguably the greatest defensive player in the NBA and possibly one of the greatest defensive peaks in NBA history.

Unfortunately, over the years his defensive ability has taken a lot of heat, due to his coasting throughout the regular season, and his “indifference” on the court sometimes. However, he has shown that when motivated and in the playoffs, he is willing to step up his defence.

In general, where does LeBron sit on the defensive ranking currently?

Okay so earlier I just posted White vs Russell, and now I am interested to compare these two players.

On one hand, D’Angelo is almost 10 years younger than Conley, and probably the more skilled and talented player. You could potentially say that his upside is youth, but we have most likely already seen his prime.

On the other hand, Conley is a high IQ very solid point guard, that although he might not be the Grizzlies/Jazz version he once was, but still a great contributor as seen in last years playoffs

Who is better right now?

I’m pretty sure D’Lo is way past his prime unfortunately at the age of 27, and even role players such as White contribute significantly more.

Does D’Lo need to be in a better position to shine as he did in Brooklyn or at this point does he need to accept a diminished role, possibly as a 6 MOTY calibre player?

Okay now this is stupidity 😂

I 100% agree with you, but tbf, he was never in a proper system where he could thrive and cover some of his deficiencies. Look at his NOLA tenure when he actually was on a decent team. Were they gonna beat the warriors? No. But they were pretty dominant, and fans still talk about that team as a what-if.

Buddy you have been commenting on this post for the last 10 minutes multiple times, I think that says enough.

So recently a couple of my friends brought up the idea that PEAK DeMarcus Cousins was better than PEAK Dwight Howard. I pretty much watched all of DeMarcus Cousins prime in Sacramento and he was my favourite player in the NBA for a couple years, but I still cannot fathom how he compares to a player as dominant defensively and offensively like Howard.

As well, Howard led the Magic to a finals appearance in his prime. I do acknowledge that Cousins is the better passer, shooter, and post player, and that if he didn’t have to carry the offensive load as much as he did in Sacramento he could’ve been way more efficient (we got to see a preview of that in NOLA), but are these abilities enough to take him over Howard?

I was a huge Dwight fan in Houston, but unfortunately I never got to see prime Orlando D12. So could you guys please fill in some context?

NOT CAREER-WISE, STRICTLY PEAK

On one hand, you have the youngest MVP of all time, who was able to bring the Bulls to the ECF against the Heat. In a era that lacked spacing, he cemented himself as one of the greatest finishers and athletic point-guards in NBA history.

On the other hand, you have another incredible scorer, finisher, and shooter in Kyrie Irving. His efficiency has always been a positive aspect of his career. He proved himself to be an incredible finals performers in 2016 when he hit the game winner for the Cavs.

Who in their prime was better? Not ALL-TIME, or who would have been better, barring Rose never gets injured.
