A player has to carry the ball entirely into their own endzone on their own. Part of the ball still had broken the plane of the endzone into the field when he was contacted by a defender - he hadn’t carried it all the way over yet.

Sorry but this is pretty much useless data. Of course you’re going to get wonky results using CPOE. How does that in any way indicate “efficiency” for a receiver? Sure, they’re making catches, but they aren’t getting separation. And because of that they’re probably not getting as many targets to get good data on this.
