So one of the cops shot the other cop in the torso? Talk about a well trained police force. It's like something out of Naked Gun. And clearly the cops being there clearly made the situation much worse and injured more people. These stooges should never carry a gun again.

I'm sure NYC will be on the hook for a few lawsuits out of this one situation alone that will at least get into the low millions! Great job NYPD for a subway fare!

It's really insane if you listen to Reagan talking about immigrants being the strength of the nation and keeping the USA young and growing. And how if we ever stop with immigration or would ruin the country.

Assuming the link works, this is a great resource of research papers on the topic - https://www.givedirectly.org/cash-evidence-explorer/

They were searching backpacks and lockers in my high school back in the 90's, student privacy has been dead for a long time. And at the same time they let students keep rifles in their cars on school grounds during hunting season so those students could hunt before school. There's no real logic at work, just school boards reacting.

Coming soon is the defense that is all Russia is doing in Ukraine.

The poor Russians just weren't equipped to deal with the consequences of a war they started, just like poor Germany. /s

But also you'd probably react differently if the police showed up to your house because your kid made threats about shooting people. Like you wouldn't then go buy them a gun for Christmas, regardless of how well you stored it.

Abuse doesn't really jump out to me, more like denial.

And sadly it's been this way for decades. Rachel Corrie was run over by a bulldozer in 2003 and nothing changed then, and it won't change anything now.

I didn't thinking that idea was still in dispute. There have been multiple studies in this area. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3543069/

It's because the news media industry as a whole has stuck with Twitter as their primary social media site. It's kinda hilarious how much they seem to like it and how much time they spend there.

I wonder if the DoJ actually does split up Google if separating Chrome would make any difference with behavior like this?

Duh, that's why I said that in the first sentence, it's not for everyone.
