Did that have an immediate impact or did it kind of fade out over time?
Interesting. Did you change anything or is this “burn in”? A lot of people were suggesting it was DC / low frequency protection kicking in
Have you had any cutout issues with the a70? I have an rme dac and the amp cuts frequently. Also the vu meter barely budges. How is yours setup ? What volume are you set to on the dac side?
That was the main factor that I loved about the q5k initially
Nothing will help your ears situation but give the sound signature a week and report back.
My opinion is to consider these factors: (1) looks (2) connectivity (tips, connectors, etc. ) (3) physical characteristics like length, weights, kinkiness, microphonics, etc. ) and buy based on those. I doubt there is any meaningful electrical difference between most reasonably decent cables. Airline freebie headphones? Probably junk cables. Hifiman or decent 3rd party cables, probably all fine electrically.
Does that make the 7hz Legato the reigning bass king?
