I think I'm both.

Those "communities" are called "feeds" in PieFed and "sublemmys" are called "communities".

That's also coming to Lemmy btw: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/5601

That game was good.

I don't see any rudeness against anyone in this post. If you could, please point out exactly which sentence you find offensive.

Use the report function before tagging the mods btw.

Well, I discovered Lemmy through one of Mental Outlaw's videos. I really liked that it was mostly open source platforms in the Fediverse and the concept of federation so I decided to stay. I've been here since 2023.

Matrix instead of what? Discord? Sure. For the same reason as above: Federation and it being open source technology.

Judging by the question and the relatively young account, I assume you're new here? If so, I welcome you.

Fedora Kinoite. It's an immutable version of their KDE Plasma desktop edition

Yeah. I really love the UI. I just wish it had more features.

Is the dev of Alexandrite even active anymore? The last commit was 5 months ago.

This seems to be intended for instance owners rather than users of the instance. Though you definitely could send that post_data to some webhook.

Arch. I tried other distros and always came back to Arch. Other distros are very bloated and honestly I can't be bothered with removing them manually. I also love the AUR and the wiki.

Another interesting distro was NixOS, but that is a bit of a pain in the ass to learn.

For newbies, Fedora KDE Plasma edition or Mint Cinnamon is my recommendation. Kinoite is Fedora KDE Plasma edition but immutable for the ones that keep breaking the system because they keep following some absurd guide online for whatever.
