I wouldn’t know, my instance doesn’t do downvotes
You have to explicitly check if the return value is an error and propagate it. You write the same boilerplate
if (err) return err
over and over again, which just litters your code.
That’s only true in crappy languages that have no concept of async workflows, monads, effects systems, etc.
Sad to see that an intentionally weak/limited language like Go is now the counterargument for good modeling of errors.
Yet voting for her may ensure the most anti-Palestinian outcome: A Trump presidency.
Hold ideals, but vote pragmatically.
A major systematic change is never “right now” - progress at that scale is only made incrementally, through continuous work.
Oh lord, don’t normalize this drivel.
Well said. Even if someone is not directed by (or a member of) propaganda efforts, they should be wary that their message does not align with those efforts.
Of course diverse opinions are welcome, but incremental positive change often requires unity around a centrist candidate leaning your way. The left side of the spectrum definitely has more friction here, as they are usually thoughtful, independent people with a wider exposure to ideas.
A messenger is sent by someone, and is generally unaware of the content of the message - that turn of phrase only makes sense in such a a context.
These outlets didn’t send you here, and you personally chose to post these because their content aligns with your views and goals. You are not “the messenger”.
You know that choosing to post something represents an active editorial choice though, right?
Your activity in the forum has become the topic of discussion. You can’t wave your hands and say “It’s not me, take it up with someone else”.
I have never implied you are a Trump voter, and I am not concerned about your personal voting behavior.
I think non-organic amplification of divisive content is a problem on many forums, and the intent and behavior of the poster does matter, not just whether a particular type of article follows the rules.
You really don’t think it’s your personal vote that is the issue here? If you have decided how you will vote, and it is a personal matter only, why have you posted 75+ articles in 30 days making noise about fringe party candidates’ ballot access?
What’s good is that it might get them in office so they can continue making incremental progress.
I got a heat pump this year because of the $3000 tax credit they passed - no chance of more incentives like that under Trump.
