Extrapolating the specific use case of pfsense routers to all other applications seems misleading, especially when arm laptops and servers exist that prove their utility and power savings for their use cases. It seems to be the case that there isn’t a particular arm device that is priced well and well suited for pfsense, which does have somewhat unusual requirements compared to other applications.

For x86 platforms it’s called Intel ME and AMD PSP.

Usually a boneless wing is a chunk of meat, with identifiable meat fibers and such. Just a breaded and fried chunk of breast. Whereas chicken nuggets are usually made from ground chicken, often molded into a few different shapes.

Usually places just do an up charge if you only want white meat, with mixed and all dark usually being the base price.

Oh wow. Yeah a large context size is a significant improvement, doesn’t seem like the article included that detail.

There are already lots of models in the 7B and 14B ranges that are quite capable and run on commodity hardware. What makes this one so special?

What do you mean “no side update channels”? There are lots of software that update outside of a distro repo and lots of software that pulls metadata from the internet that could cause an error in the parser.

Less privileged software can also cause problems, but you can limit the scope in which those problems can occur.

Pretty sad all the people getting mad about an optional opt-in feature. I think this is pretty cool. If it’s free to use with my existing unlimited plan I’ll probably use it regularly, otherwise if I have to pay more I’ll probably just keep using ChatGPT since I already pay for that.

This is sorta how dark reader and such works. It turns out that implementing dark mode for most websites is more complicated than inverting all the css colors. For example, some gray on white text might have enough contrast to be easily read, but when inverted the text is hard to discern or nearly invisible. Images too, they might have a white background but not look good when inverted. Native support is better

The Nazis fought for their very existence too. I’m not shedding a tear over the loss.

Compulsive eating is a real thing, and is a contributing factor to obesity.
