I get your comparison to the pippen situation but there are some key differences to when pippen left the bulls to go to Houston, Jordan had retired again, Phil Jackson retired and everyone knew the era was over. He had also been underpaid by the bulls forever and most fans hated the bulls front office at the time. It was more of a feeling of “finally pippen is free, good for him” than the betrayal it would likely be if the warriors traded Klay. Also pippen was not nearly as washed as klay looks recently
