I haven't gone to McDonald's in YEARS and I'm not missing anything!

Ever since the big Mac meal went over $10, I was out. That was years ago and now it's even worse. I'm also not a sucker for using their god-damned app so I can get a $1 small fry and a free q-tip. If I'm not happy with your prices at the drive-thru, then I'm just not going there.

This would literally save lives in TX, FL and other states that have removed safety rules! How can you vote against this?? Yet we all know the republicans will shoot it down. Heartless

I recently introduced Impossible burger for my family's taco night and it's become my kids preference. Price-wise, because my grocer refuses to sell exactly 1 lb. of beef they sell 1.15-1.3lbs for money grabbing), it's only about a dollar more.

Well worth it! It's gaining popularity for a reason. If it was priced evenly with beef, the meat industry would be sweating like they had the meat sweats.

You mean TRUMP'S project 2025?? Good! Everyone should be steering far clear from it.

Agreed. Maybe it was a low turnout? Too many people maybe thinking it was an easy recall win and didn't show up

I don't know why but of all his movies (I'm 30s) I think of the Italian Job. Great actor though in everything he's done.

They've even started getting worse with their apps. I got a notification recently that one of the apps (target) will have fluctuating prices. My understanding is it's demand based increases. While walking around the store one time I looked at items in the app and most of them were higher than on the shelves.

They've spent years pushing people to get comfortable with app shopping and easy pickup... Now they're going to squeeze every penny out of that crowd that they can.

Yeah, but.... Oftentimes criticizing Biden helps trump. I'd rather not even risk it at this point.

Can we spend more energy celebrating that trump is NOT the president and how bad it would be if he comes back?

Been searching for my first EV and I'm down to an Audi Q4 e-tron or a Volvo XC40. I don't make a lot of money so I'm going to have to lease instead of buy (Q4 leases about 10% cheaper than the XC40).

I've test driven and like both of them a lot - maybe leaning towards the Volvo just for comfort level. I like the Lightning too but dealers on Ohio won't budge and they don't lease well.

Anyone have any feedback on the XC40 or Q4? Pros or cons you can mention from owning one of these?

My 11 year old spends 50% of his time with an anti-science and anti-vaccine family. Single parent me (in Ohio) doesn't have a lot of support when I've tried to help fight some of those thoughts he's been brainwashed with in the name of religion. I'm christian, but his other household is extremists. "You believe in science too much" and "cavemen never existed" are things he's said in the last year. He's a straight A very smart child, he's just been brainwashed and I want to try to help him before it gets worse.

What kinds of shows, books, documentaries can I expose him too to make him think more critically about some of these things so he understands science is real and vaccines work?

He does get into Veritasium on YouTube, so I feel like that's a step in the right direction for science and critical thinking.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers
