A lot of the explanations for Monchi's downfall apply even more starkly to Luís Campos.

Ridiculously open game so far
The title threw me off for a second, I missed the "breaks" and just thought "even more??". Anyway, this, like the digital nomad scheme, was a slap in the face of a struggling population and shouldn't have happened in the first place.
He was one of the first DoFs to properly embrace data analysis and built an impressive scouting team and process. Some of it was reportedly still quite rustic though (as an example, one of his favourite methods was simply building a best XI of each league and going from there - I've heard this discussed on a podcast, probably one of the Athletic ones?) and I think as times moved on other teams caught up through more sophisticated uses of data and their own creative recruitment strategies.
