  • Bayern win the group.

  • Copenhagen progress with a win; they also progress with a draw if United draws or loses.

  • Galatasaray progress with a win.

  • United need a win and a Copenhagen/Galatasaray draw to progress.

Group B:

  • Arsenal win the group.

  • PSV through as runners-up.

Group C:

  • Madrid win the group.

  • Napoli progress with a win, draw, or 1-goal loss.

  • Braga progress with a win by 2+ goals.

Group D:

  • Sociedad and Milan both through; the winner of the their game takes top spot, or Sociedad in the case of a draw.

Group E:

  • Atletico and Milan both through; the winner of the their game takes top spot, or Atletico in the case of a draw.

Group F:

  • Dortmund are through; they win the group with a win or draw.

  • PSG top the group with a win; they progress with either a draw and a Milan win, or simply a Newcastle/Milan draw.

  • Newcastle progress with a win and a PSG loss or draw.

  • Milan progress with a win and a PSG loss.

Group G:

  • City win the group.

  • Leipzig through as runners-up.

Group H:

  • Barcelona top the group unless they lose and Shakhtar win, by a combined margin of 7+.

  • Porto progress with a win or draw.

  • Shakhtar progress with a win.

So stop the game for every potential nothing foul at midfield? Or every time a common foul is called when it’s a borderline yellow? As it is, some people are already on the side of VAR being too intrusive and killing game flow, while others want it to intervene more often. You can see how it’s tricky to find the right balance.
