The older versions were rather buggy on Wine. MO 2.5 and newer work great, but they need Wine 9 to run.
I just wish they would start making them with a sub pixel layout that works with sub pixel antialiasing. Text looks awful without it unless the monitor has a really high DPI.
They shouldn't be locked at all. If the phone is included with the contract, it probably requires you to pay it off if you cancel early anyways.
