I expected the anti-Meta division to eventually demand recursive bans. The end result will be a hermit kingdom, and that's fine and dandy, but expect the Fedipact users to keep talking solely among themselves. (And the users that disagree to move elsewhere, making the hermit kingdom to become even more of an echo chamber)

Still hoping to be able to send issues and push requests from my own home server into any other one without having to open yet another account. Git is supposed to be able to be used without needing local accounts everywhere, and issue trackers should have sorted this a LONG time ago.
Hello to the Fediverse! Hopefully you can also enjoy the rest of the sites such as Kbin, Pixelfed, Peertube, Owncast and Misskey - there's plenty to choose from!
It'd be nice to do something similar for Mastodon.
Furthermore, he doesn't use Mastodon exactly, but Akkoma (which is mostly compatible with Mastodon clients while being much lighter)
This is exactly why I expect the Fedipact holders to end up talking only among themselves. In order to truly defederate from Meta, they would have to recursively defederate from everyone that does not explicitly block Meta as well.
Is there some legal reason why AACS and BDPlus can't use the same decoding strategies as MMBD?
