I understand, and I don't even mind the cushions as they are (they're still very comfortable) but my problem lies with a failing driver that's giving off distortion and static.

There's actually a store where I can demo them close to my work! I'll head in with my DAP and see how they perform to my preferences. Thanks for the recommendation.
