Opinions on season 19? (alien.top)
 

My favorite seasons have always been 5-8 and 11. I prefer the show when it’s episodic and not serialized, and think 20 and 21 are easily the worst seasons. But surprisingly, during my last rewatch of 19, I started coming to terms with it also being a favorite on that list.

I’ve always liked it and thought it was easily the best serialized season, but I’ve liked it more and more every time I’ve watched it. Despite being fully serialized, every episode still works on its own and has a different theme involving the gentrification of the town. As a whole, I think the season feels like an ultimate takedown of modern woke culture that a significant amount of thought and effort was put into. In My Safe Space is also a fucking banger.

I visited New York for the first time last weekend. Admittedly had trouble not repeatedly singing this during our trip down to Ground Zero….

World Wide Recorder Concert. Aka the one where Mr. Garrison is upset that his father never molested him.

The two episodes that have always stood out to me as the most F’d up are World Wide Recorder Concert (Mr. Harrison being upset that his dad never molested him) and Cartman Joins NAMBLA.

As far as individual jokes, I find Detective Harris blasting semen out of his butt into an evidence bag to be pretty disturbing. Same with the idea of everyone happily consuming Butters’ semen.
