You’re not necessarily wrong, but the spurs aren’t even trying to win this year. They’re doing everything for player development

Pop won’t have orders for that. Pop is given completely free reign. He has basically run the team for nearly 30 years. Everyone in the organisation is loyal to him. The current CEO of the spurs for example was Pop’s head scout. Pop was both GM and head coach, but gave the gm position to him to focus more on coaching.

The issue for Gobert, and this is the same for AD, is that they’re most impactful on defence when they can act as help defenders. Jokic neutralises that

This isn’t really what bringing in jobs is about. It’s for the area around the stadium, such as bars and restaurants
