There probably is some reward - intrinsic or extrinsic - or you wouldn't be doing it. Monetary reward is often not necessary nor the strongest motivator.

When you say "thank you kindly", the adverb is describing how you are thanking them, so you're basically saying "I'm being kind" in c/showerthoughts@lemmy.world

Although you're generally correct with "kindly" basically being the same as "very much", you're missing the passive aggressive version with the remainder of the thought unspoken.

Holy shit... that game is still around? It was dead many years ago when I quit playing it. I mainly quit because of lack of players even in what should have been major activity hubs.
