as far as conspiracies go I think you could probably do better

I'm definitely not an expert on Bittorrent, but I believe the person above was incorrect - I think there are some extensions to the protocol that enable UDP transport, but typically Bittorrent traffic occurs primarily via TCP.

What you said makes perfect sense in that hypothetical context, though!

and sometimes we do care about successful delivery but need to handle that ourselves so we use UDP to avoid layering delivery verification mechanisms.

I think art has value and artists deserve to eat as well as anybody else, but ... this spontaneous escalation thing you're doing has you coming across as a real cunt. It doesn't seem like it was accidental, but in the unlikely event that it was and this actually isn't your thing, I figured you might want to know.

Grandpa is sorry, son.

It's confusing because I kinda agree with some of your stereotyping and I'm not confident that is a good thing.

You seem like the target demographic, actually.

Normally I'd agree, but the idea of copying the text directly for a repost seems a bit weird. The pixels feel slightly more attribution-y to me.

Is there lore that isn't made up?

I feel bad for you because you were just trying to help.

Today I was working on a 2019 server. I clicked on IE to download Firefox and it asked me if I wanted Edge. I didn't want to do anything that might interfere with existing services running, so I said no. I took a phone call, and when I came back ... welcome to Edge, I'm so fuckin great - let's get started!

I've been doing this since the 80s, but this was a surprisingly fresh experience for me.
