Which is by almost all means better than downloading a random crap of a package from the web because "that's how it's done on wondows". Seriously, distributing software via repositories is like second most important reason the situation with malware isn't the same on the desktop Linux market (the first being small market share). And nope, that's not because Linux is somehow "more secure", which it isn't.

Leaking ip's is meh, however sharing info with feds while mentioning not doing this very thing in their own FAQ is shady AF. Then we have their serverside being proprietary garbage, plus intrusive info collection (like why do they need no know my hostname, device model, desktop environment, etc?). Did I mentioned they started advertising crap based on the channels a user's subscribed to? Yeah, telegram still sucks when it comes to privacy, and it's only getting worse over time
SoundCloud is what Michael used to serve the podcast. Also, I've checked the blog some time after commenting, and
STATUS: The SoundCloud podcast archive is offline. We are researching new hosts capable of servicing this audience.
Wait, did he restore it? SoundCloud was purged some time ago with only the "intermission" being available.
Idk, like if the average person is the one who uses the os as a bootloader for $whatever_browser, then there's little to no difference. And if some windows-specific software is necessary, then windows is just way easier, I guess (wine works fine for me personally, tho).
On the other hand, if you want the os to behave the way you want, then Linux is way simpler.
Why tf they even care about students' hairstyles? Tbh, looks like whoever came up with this brilliant rule is a bolding and jealous fossil :::|
Startpage is "cool" as long as you're not using a proxy/VPN, and otherwise they tell you to GTFO (without an opportunity to complete a capcha or smth). Even more, they can tell you the very same thing if you're sharing a connection with lots of ppl (e.g. a dorm or a public WiFi, probably). Finally, (heard it from surveillance report, but didn't care to check myself since I've stopped using them 'cause of proxies long before) they don't interact with journalists, and there's not much known about their parent company
Well, there are better reasons for getting rid of fossil software... Like xorg being a giant clusterhack :)
Same here, I mostly use brave search with occasional !eco
s. Although, both companies have made questionable stuff in their browsers (ddg -- not blocking m$ trackers, brave -- similar stuff with trackers, don't remember which, plus the whole affiliate link debacle).
Mb I'm weird, but I liked beamer. You can even use animated slide transitions with various degrees of horrendousness... Apparently, PDF supports that kinds of stuff ('cuz why wouldn't it, I guess).
Uhm, not necessarily. First of all, aosp should get security updates at the same time as graphene (or earlier, which is more likely); then there are non-pixel phones (yuck, I know) that aren't supported by graphene guys, and when those go eol, custom roms often keep pushing [software] security updates for some time at least (source: this message is sent from a 1+5t running DivestOS based on android 13); finally, stock roms may arguably ('cause vendors introduce bloatware, which can potentially be used in ways not intended by its developers) be more secure, but they suck at privacy department in like 99 of 100 cases
