I'm an infrastructure engineer working at a government contractor and I'm in a union with OPEIU 1010, the tech workers' local. Others are unionizing independently, with CWA, etc.. It's still early days for the tech industry but there are examples. We're really not that different from other industries with a larger union presence.

Good job! I've been a member of Nava United since before we were recognized, and we just ratified our first contract. Stand strong in bargaining! Hope I meet some members of your union at Labor Notes in April!

It's just our legislators helping to kick off Striketober! But seriously this is a terrible pain in the ass for anyone who actually depends on government services (which on some level is pretty much all of us).

The Mondragon Corporation is an interesting example of a cooperative scaling up https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondragon_Corporation

Project Zomboid is less narrative than what you're looking for, I think, but when you start again in the same world you can find your previous character as a zombie.

My mom likes to play No Man's Sky and Valheim, but her Asus TUF started freezing on games. RMA found no problems and sent it back to her but it still happens. I ordered a Legion for her but now I see these posts about all Nvidia 40-series laptops freezing up. What's a gaming mom supposed to do?

No more hippie soda for me I guess
