Hello, when I search in the search bar for some words, the results are not fully related. For example, if I filter it by Posts or Comments, the results are still inaccurate.

I know, but the admins of lemmy.ml also control the whole Lemmy software, so these rumors will damage the entirety of Lemmy, and I don't want it to be ruined by malicious rumors.

Hello, what do you mean with your comment?

Hello, these rumors are getting out of hand. To make matters worse, they are rejecting Lemmy (the software) because of the rumors about the developers. You really need to do something about this, because the reputation of Lemmy (the software) is in serious danger. Thank you for listening to my concern about malicious rumors.

What does purge user and purge post do?

I like the current design, but the way the lines are too close to each other confuses me, so how can I get the design above me, where a line stops when a new child reply is dropped?

Reddit = Lemmy

Subreddits = Sublemmies

Redditors = Lemmings

Okay, we have:

  • # for tagging something
  • @ for usernames
  • ! for communities

But does a question mark have any purpose here?

Okay, but how does a hashtag work? Can you give an example of a hashtagged word where Lemmy uses a hashtag?

[–] gylotip@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 year ago (6 children)

But you didn't say why Lemmy does not use hashtags for communities.

A hashtag for community seems much better than an exclamation mark.

What kind of purpose does a hashtag have on Lemmy?

[–] gylotip@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 year ago (14 children)

A hashtag fits more for communities than an exclamation mark.

But what if there are namespace conflicts? For example, you create a community on both Lemmy and Beehaw with the same name, but wouldn't that cause conflicts?

For example, !lemmy starts with an !, but why not start with a # symbol?

Oh, the server is under pressure. Thank you for explaining the issue.

I have created two communities, but it seems like I can no longer create new ones since when attempting to create one, it gets stuck in a looping circle.
