It's basically an OPPO clone now. Oxygen OS is effectively ColorOS re-marketed. Unless you're chill with Chinese phones and software I would stay far far away.

Joplin is my daily driver. Although the interface isn't nearly as polished as the others, it's feature-packed and the fact that you can E2E encrypt means you are essentially free to use any cloud provider to sync. Safe to store sensitive personal info as well. Been running solid for 2+ years.

By definition Beta is going to have bugs and given enough time and effort Valve will find it. But you wanted the updates faster and that's the cross you bear by switching to Beta. What happened to you sucks but if you don't want to catch bugs then switch to prod / stable channel, simple.
I'm thankful for the volunteers but goodwill is not gonna last forever. Especially easy to burnout on goodwill when casual users goes apeshit on devs whenever things don't work. The system is stacked against volunteers.
