What does it mean to "matter" in the context of the scale of the universe?

I'm not sure if I'd describe RE7 as a slow-paced trip. It got pretty freaking terrifying pretty quickly. And since it's first-person it plays quite differently than RE2/4. But it's a must-play as I think it's the inflection point in the RE series where the survival horror aspects really got good again.
Shouldn’t this awareness of our insignificance be unbearable?
Why would it be? I personally find it humbling.
I mean yeah, at this point people are here on Fediverse out of principle, not content. It's like complaining why there are no scrappy reality dating shows on PBS, it's missing the point.
My personal observation is that people have been fed up for quite a while, not so much by the Instagram app itself but by Meta's brand, their untrustworthiness and the general vapid and scammy nature of the hordes of Influencers and "hustlers". It's just regular folks aren't aware of decent alternatives or the alternatives aren't quite there yet.
Just use Instagram? You can't engage with Fediverse clone accounts.
Effing eh
It really is an amazing device. It's so easy to buy new games to neglect, anywhere - on the bus, on the toilet, while the wife is in labor (don't judge, just practicing my neglecting skills,)... You name it. The controls and trackpads are just so well designed for hitting the checkout button and collecting dust. Sniffs vent
I personally liked it the most out of the trilogy. GotG 1 & 2 has always felt too goofy for goofy's sake and the "fun" felt kind of forced. This film brought some real depth and character arcs to Rocket, and really fleshed out Mantis and Nebula as well. There is also a dash of edge and anger that wasn't there in the first two installments, like their rageful arguments with one another, the fight scenes, and the head villain himself, which I appreciated.
That said it is definitely not perfect. I cringed hard at the opening scene with its choice of soundtrack. Way too on the nose and didn't end up going anywhere.
No. Still stumps me why some people put it up there with Firefox, there is no contest. Brave is sketch as hell.
This is such a bad take. By the same logic, the time you spend scrolling through Lemmy would have been better spent serving the homeless in the soup kitchen or sweeping the streets clean. But yet here you are. Why?
Let's face it, the "IAP money" you referred to has always been there, Sync dev found a way (and has the balls) to monetize his work to a pretty big extent. And only now are you all sour grapes about it. If Lemmy instances are so desperate for money why didn't they make an equally big effort to monetize? On the flip side, if money isn't such a big issue why do you care if Sync is monetizing?
I have been running a TP-Link Archer C4000 for several years now. Super solid, great price, no complaints. For me the tri-band capability is more important than Wifi-AX, which isn't very useful unless you need incredibly fast network speed or if you have a ton of devices (which all need to be supporting AX).
