The place has been called Italia since at least 49BC

Not that the skin tone matters much but you’ve obviously never been to northern Italy.

You keep repeating the claim that Romeo was not of similar age as Juliet yet there is no evidence for it.

I took the time to google the claim and it’s bullshit.

One of the source materials of Shakespeare mentions his soft skin and lack of facial hair which would mean he’s younger than 15.

I would stick with the original play: Shakespeare died not mention his age but he is acting less mature than Juliet.

Do you have any source whatsoever backing your claim Shakespeares Romeo was not of similar age as Juliet?

My situation was similar a couple of weeks ago. I had to either buy a new car or dump a couple of thousands on my then car (which is still good for at least a decade).

I did test drive a Tesla though as to have a ‘baseline’ for the other contenders. I did buy a different electric car just as planned but I’m glad I did the baseline.

BTW - just a heads up: make sure you check the headroom on the back seats of any EV you fancy. I might have bought a Kia EV6 if I didn’t bump my head in the ceiling in the back - and I’m of average height.

I like the idea of a register a lot.

Do you also talk about it though? I was in Denmark on business for a couple of weeks and I don’t recall there being a discussion about it.

In my country I’m only aware of statistics published by a newspaper (source may be statista, some agency or a job portal). I find the values weird however as I earn way above the stated value for my general description. I’m in a bit of a niche however so that might work to my benefit. The statistics still feel like ‘expectation management’ to me though.

Not denying that it’s legal and beneficial to discuss that. It’s unfortunately not common (yet?).

Pretty disarming for unsuspecting foreigners.

That would indeed be a WTF moment for me.

In what countries is it custom to openly discuss salary? In Germany and most if not all countries I’ve been to professionally it is not the norm. This is of course bad for transparency/employees and good for employers.

I’d love to see him in prison but not on death row. Instead of being executed he should enjoy a lengthy stay.
