I am especially glad Greta threw her 'weight' behind it because without the media attention it got them proving a point probably wouldn't have had a meaningful effect. Might still not, but we'll see.

I bet Oleksander is willing to let some babysitters come over too, if that would convince Trump to come

Russian rulers don't seem to care about the life of Russian civilians, so I'm really not surprised they also don't care for non-Russian civilians. Kudo's to HRW to make this story visual (making it more disturbing, but also more real (yes making this more real matters, because normal humans can't imagine something like this just happens because normal humans don't drop explosives on people walking to a bus stop for example)).

Only people who are against democracy say stuff like this.

… 3-4 years to go … the west is then back to normalcy.

That sound a little optimistic lol

Joachim Streit has never stepped foot in Canada. But that hasn’t stopped the German politician from launching a tenacious, one-man campaign that he readily describes as “aspirational”: to have the North American country join the EU.

“We have to strengthen the European Union,” said Streit, who last year was elected as a member of the European parliament. “And I think Canada – as its prime minister says – is the most European country outside of Europe.”

I'm not against strong EU-Canada relation, but let's not rally behind a politician who's never been to Canada. Especially not a German one who launched a one-man campaign he himself describes as aspirational.

I think if you postpone de deadline to 2040 the same companies will have the same complaints

The same was true for steam engines, they were not forbidden but the companies that only complained still went bankrupt.

Interesting how it enters the stage as a creature from hell and then it becomes softer and they walk off all cute.

If you zoom in there is a little bit of space left

It's just like Elmo & Trump fighting - they know the other only cares about their own interest and try for everybody else to work in their interest too. As soon as their interests become conflicted, they will look for new friends.
