I feel like an alien or something. I just feel so disconnected from my fellow Americans.

I assume you are in the Dalton area? Maybe Trenton? No need to answer, it's just interesting to see a fellow lemmyite from the same general region. I'm in the Chattanooga area and have heard similar things. These wait times seem odd this early, but I'm really happy it seems early voting turnout seems to be exceptionally healthy so far.

99 percent of "office chairs" are the same poorly constructed garbage that "gaming chairs" are. Actually good chairs are 400-1000+ which most people cannot afford unfortunately.

I couldn't find the answer but I'm gonna guess Tokyo. If anyone finds a source I'm interested to know as well.

I thought the halo ce was generally very well received. Is the hate for it a lemmy generation thing?

This sounds like an interesting hobby? Care to share more about how/why you are into dumpster diving for lightbulbs?

I agree, but at this point it kills the value for me. Why am I paying for the game and a monthly subscription?

Yeah wtf. The steel frame is going to last an order of magnitude longer than the batteries

I probably just wouldn't use lemmy as an indicator of popularity/activity levels.

I think you're missing that lemmy is a pretty tiny slice of the internet and niche(ish) communities either don't exist or are mostly inactive. Just because something doesn't seem to be making waves on lemmy, doesn't mean it isn't popular. The community for it just isn't really here (yet).

I installed Linux mint on my laptop the other day because of various sustained long term annoyances with Windows. Despite some minor hiccups it only took about 30 minutes. It's been such a great experience so far.

About 90 percent of my nostalgia is reserved for Halo. GD I miss those days.
