They mean serving as the agent for whatever industrial need or process is being performed.

Like replacing eggs in a meatball recipe. Sometimes you can't substitute the ingredient and end up with the same or similar end product or effect.

I can't imagine living life too scared to do the things that I value. You're in public. Sack up

Unfortunately I think this complex issue isn't one that can be eli5'd accurately.

This is a very popular perception. I don't want to feel unsafe in my own back yard. During COVID the number of tents and encampments with high amounts of problems in Toronto public parks made certain ones more or less inaccessible by the public. There was some outcry when they were forcibly removed but overwhelmingly that move was applauded by Torontonians. We got to use our spaces again.

I really wish we'd bring back institutional supports for the mentally unwell

Yes when you kill other humans intentionally you are depraved. Doesn't matter if you are american, Israeli, Chinese, or Palestinian.

Yes you can be oppressed and wronged.

Both can be true.

But the murderous part is your own decision. It needn't be the only one.

Sounds fairly accurate to me.

Yep. Largely unenforceable in all of Canada, and shopify is Canadian so they should know better.

Understood, but you have no say in the publishing rights of a photo. Even if you're in it.
