But if you use only flatpaks which Slowroll and Kalpa suggests then KDE discover and Gnome software manager will work. Currently I am not using OpenSUSE to test this out.
It updates via discover or gnome's software manager
That's why also mentioned OpenSUSE slowroll which brings latest and lesser update frequency
You want slow updates/upgrades like Ubuntu and stability then OpenSUSE slowroll is better option or even OpenSUSE kalpa. Even Debian + KDE will work for you.
Infact it is selected for GSoC under NetBSD for porting to pkgsrc
