The world wasn’t ready for vista

Microsoft has a way. I still get a message recommending Microsoft Authenticator when logging in the work enterprise laptop. That’s an ad. Can’t imagine what they’re capable of on 11.
I thought they knew it was tradition that every second windows is dogshit.
People give apple a lot of crap and I get it. But they are still by far the best user experience laptop. There’s a reason with all that walled garden stuff. It’s good hardware and software when used by anyone with the purpose of just using it and not needing to tinker with it.
I’m at a point where I don’t mind the idea of diversifying my time with Linux more. I have an older pc I have mint for fun and a steam deck. Just worried one of these days apple will mess macOS up to the point of no return and Linux will be my lifeline.
And if you decide not to use ms Authenticator every time you log in with a third party one it’ll recommend you to get it every time. Don’t sell me shit when I’m trying to securely log in.
I partly think m1 is just so good no one has any appetite to upgrade. But also shit do be expensive. For me it’s repairability. I’m seriously considering not getting another Mac at my next upgrade cycle unless something changes soon.
I cancelled Netflix last month. I paid for it for about 10 years. I even had a dns set up to get US Netflix years before it even came to Australia. Because it was such a good product at the time. It hasn’t been worth it for a few years now but the software was good and it was cheap enough to keep around.
I forgot how insanely chunky the original Xbox controller was. You must have big hands to want to use it again.
They’re seemingly making windows less and less enterprise friendly. Which I thought was their bread and butter. It’s crazy since they’re not even competing with other OS on a price level. Linux is free and MacOS is free but with hardware. It’s like MS is purposely tanking Windows I don’t get it.
I barely even check protondb anymore. I just assume everything works these days it’s awesome.
I’m looking forward to this. I’m like Jony Ive’s design thinking. I think he brings a non tech way of thinking about tech into design that feels so approachable.
They must’ve noticed an uptick in Google traffic. I’ve stopped using reddit for fun and only as a means to find solutions through search engine.
Starting to wish yahoo answers would come back.
