Can't someone ask him what his motives were?

You assume the FBI, secret service, and every other 3 letter agency who can get access to his cell aren't doing exactly that?

Given his biography, I would expect a string of conspiracy laden answers and generally incoherent explanations, though.

I never understand why people don't want criminals reformed, just locked up.

Because "lock them up" is a simple answer that is quick, easy to understand and relativity easy to do.

Rehabilitation takes time, takes effort, and doesn't have a "one size fits all" method.

It's not a simple, easy to understand (and easy to slogan) approach, even if it does actually have proven better long-term outcomes for society.

We regulate social media content all the time

Maybe, but how effective is that in the real world?

He "served" in the PR office.

Trying to manipulate public opinion and distort facts has been his entire career.

This might be the dumbest thing a candidate in this race has said

I've given up trying to rank the stupidity level of the various claims and statements Trump and people connected to him have made.

It's all just toxic garbage.

I've used old laptops as battery backed up NAS boxes.

Obviously assumes that you can install a reasonably large drive and that the battery still has some life left in it.

besides the direct deaths and injuries, this attack also targeted lines of communication and trust

Exactly. The psychological impact of this attack should not be underestimated.

It will have Hamas' leadership and operatives second guessing so many of the mundane things that they interact with on a daily basis.

unlike most terrorism it does not target civilians.

Also, unlike most of the IDF attacks.

And he still won't denounce Trump and Vance for spreading that lie.

Party before country, I guess...

We have facts that on multiple occasions he did good for the city at risk to his personal life and career. If someone wants to lump him in with the ones that are corrupt and murderous or look the other way at things like this, they're the asshole. If we don't support this guy, why would we execpt anyone else to follow his lead?

Thank you.

I'm glad to see that there are still people who can think beyond a absolutes and binary situations.

The part that I have the issue with is the A

Clearly it's not all cops, as this guy (and others who try to do the right thing but don't make the news) demonstrates.

Not everyone will use every coupon in the book

Most people don't use most of the coupons. And the company bets on that, no matter what the *potential * value of the coupons is.

It's the same with mail-in rebates. The promise of them can drive additional sales, but since 40-60% never get claimed, it's just extra profits at the end of the day.
