You got it the wrong way around. Left libertarianism (which is now commonly called anarchism) has been going strong for at least a century (and likely has its roots way back in indigenous people organizing themselves) until Rothbard and his ghouls took over the term for their shitty ideology in the 60s.

Food for thought: How do you think people organized themselves before some white dudes had thoughts about monarchies.

But you can always dream of a hierarchical structure that magically does not oppress its weakest members or corrupts its leadership if that is your cup of tea.

The process described in OP's text is what I consider as recuperation, the conversion of a radical idea to a commercially viable one by de-radicalising and twisting its foundational ideas, which then enables commodification. A radical idea needs softening first before it can be turned into a commodity (like your example of Che tshirts). But your point is still valid.

Never forget: Merz voted against a law to make rape in marriage illegal. He does not care about women's rights.

Edit: It was a little more complicated (see below). My point still stands that this was absolutely negligent behaviour towards women.
