No I don't but there's no reason to give them the option at all. There's no positives to votes being public.

Buying stolen property isn't innocent and can take the matter up with the person that sold it to them.
You should expect it. A huge % of people are shitbags just waiting for their chance. I've found and returned 3 wallets in my life and every time when I mentioned it to someone else they were in total disbelief that I didn't just steal the person's money and calling me an idiot for it. These were people I would have thought were trustworthy otherwise.
I asked, through the person who hired the workers, if they took it. But all the workers refused.
Cool, you're all fired. GTFO of my house.
The post is about giving everyone the ability to see how everyone else votes on individual posts/comments. For instance if you downvoted this I would be able to look it up somehow and see it was you as opposed to it being anonymous. I don't care if I get downvoted but there's a lot of wackjobs on the internet who might use that as a reason to harass someone.
Right but we don't need to give them the tools to do it even more.
This is about seeing what posts you voted on. Like if you upvote a post that someone disagrees with for whatever reason or you downvote someone's post they could see that and go after you for it. Regardless of why you did it.
The problem with seeing people's votes is you don't have context for why they voted that way. Did they upvote because they agreed, or because they thought it was an engaging counterpoint in an interesting discussion? Maybe they just thought it was funny or wanted the thread it was part of to be more visible. Someone looking at your votes could choose whatever perception they want if they decide to go after you for it.
Easier to just ignore downvotes the instance I'm on doesn't show them and it's great. If someone can't be bothered to explain how I'm wrong I don't care about their opinion anyway.
Make movies I'm excited about seeing and have them in the theater for more than 12 seconds so I can actually schedule the trip and I'll go. The theaters around me only post their times like 3-4 days in advance and by the time I see it the seating left is shit. I can't plan around that. Also the last few movies I have gone to I've had people sitting around me that would not shut the fuck up. No one wants to listen to your stupid comments motherfuckers.
My ISP gave me a IPV6 router. I have it bridged (or whatever the right term is) to another router that serves IPV4 addresses to all my devices. Worked well so far with the added bonus that the ISP can't see what's going on within my network.
