I as a newbie, bought my first pair of open-back headphones (Sennheiser HD599), here are my thoughts.. in c/headphones@hi-fi.community

For those in Germany, the 599's are 80 Eur on Amazon (amazon.de) . This will be my first wired headphones, can't wait. Always was a Bluetooth headphone aficionado due to my commutes.
