I find this interesting. I agree with your point, the problem I have is with the, sort of, reverse of what you're touching on here. Before cambridge analytica, SecureScuttleButt was really fun, full of geeky people talking about and sharing geeky things; after cambridge analytica, a ton of people left from facebook to SSB and suddenly the conversation turned inward and everybody was talking about the platform itself and how to "improve it" and how to have safe spaces, remove posts, federation etc. Same thing with X/Bsky. Early on Bsky was fun and geeky and whatnot. Then people from X went there looking for refuge and everyone started talking about the platform itself or, even worse, talking about the "birb site" and the conversation diluted and became less interesting. I'm glad about the fediverse because so far I don't seem to have hit that wall yet. (sorry if this is super off-topic)
That's what I did 😁
Oh I definitely know that episode! It’s one of the scariest ones for me. And here we are not that may years after it aired with this already starting to become a reality. :(
This is depressing :(
If you’re a dictator, surely you don’t have to justify any of your actions and just do whatever you want, right?
Why do you want to shut down Nextcloud? 🤔
Is nobody using Ubuntu (just wondering)? 🤔
I did a functional programming course in university snd we learned Haskell and really loved it. By far my favourite subject in all 4 years of uni. Have never used it since tho but it was fun XD
While I get what you mean, I think people who make their income from android apps will definitely want to put them on Google play to charge money :P
I feel like that about 2016. I'm telling you, it all started with Harambe. It all went downhill from there XD
You sure gots money to spend 😅
