Also don't know how much stuff runs in the background on W11, maybe there is now more stuff needing memory and CPU time

Just wait for the next stage as a libertarian socialist, without a leading communist party, because we can take care of us ourselves - it's usually called anarchy (which doesn't mean no social norms, just self-organisation without leadership)

Did you try Aurora store (interface to Google play store, trying to hide your installs) or the more Linux like repository manager f-droid?

Im running GrapheneOS on my 7 Pro and I like it very much. Only issue I had was Android Auto. That seems to be not possible to have...

I'm having a 15" mobile external monitor for my business trips, which is powered through my laptop. At least for those mobile displays, this is quite typical. Often you just need one USB C convention for power and video

I'm sporting 8-10h on my Tuxedo Pulse 15 (Gen 1)

At least with AMD my runtime was always pretty good under Linux. Since some years at least. Was on Intel before and always had worse battery life with Linux - most probably because of the additional NVidia GPU, that didn't play nicely with Linux power management
