It’s pretty good. I understand and somewhat agree with the concerns about concentrating the web around one company, but tunnels is simply a great product. So convenient for running services behind CGNAT or dynamic IP without good port forwarding options, and it’s just set and forget. If there was an alternative that good I’d use it.
Creating about five tonnes of waste isn’t really a good look for an environmental protest. I get the point they’re making and largely agree, but this isn’t really an effective message to me.

The luddites were against technology being used to abuse and subjugate workers and drive down wages, so yes I’m absolutely a Luddite.

If you’re strong willed and stubborn, Zoneminder will work fine. It takes a lot of tinkering to get everything to work correctly, but it does work decently.

We will need to drastically change our zoning rules very soon to keep up. Most sane countries allow all land use other than industrial and agricultural inside cities, and they’re better for it.
That would never happen, no maintainer would open themselves up to that kind of liability.
Not strictly RSTP, but the “zmninja” app works with a Zoneminder server, which can record and manage RSTP/ONVIF cameras. I would really recommend some sort of NVR (like Zoneminder) if you have cameras since there’s a low probability you’ll be able to watch them live all the time.

Fwiw, I’ve had great results with upgrading Debian derivatives. A machine in my closet has been upgraded from version 8 -> 12 without any major issue. Usually, upgrade problems come from custom or third party software in my experience.
