Proton has an Onion site for connecting to their service over Tor - it's one of the neat things that you can use Tor for without any nefarious intent.

I thought OP was genuinely asking the question until about half way through..

You can use and support Tor! It's easy with a bootable version of Tails, I use it to access Proton Mail since they make their regular services also available on an onion site (the link is on their regular website).

I also think disconnecting the concepts of "pocket computer" and "always-on two way radio with location tracking and internet connectivity" are things you could put in different physical devices.

Did it fail? I hate headlines like this. Just because it isn't popular now, doesn't mean it didn't make progress in its space.

I've been gaming on Linux for years, but this post gave me the urge to install Windows XP for games.
