Pick plays are just kind of part of the Shannahan system though. Its part of how they scheme WRs open get so many easy throws for QBs.

I remember Kubiak another Shannahan disciple(and the coach who Kyle was first OC under) would have a strict set of 15 plays to start the game and would under no circumstances deviate from them.
