"Ready for" is a pretty ambiguous qualifier. Considering that 8 years of Obama drove the racists absolutely batshit insane for the foreseeable future makes me think we weren't even ready for the first Black President, and we certainly aren't ready for whatever the fuck Trump is. Personally I think things like that are what shes referring to and it's not so much about just winning the election.

I was trying to steer people toward a 9mm handgun over a pump shotgun for HD here a little while back and people didn't want to hear it. Almost no one fires defensively with ear protection, among all the other downsides imaging your ears ringing for 2 mins after a singe shot before youre able to hear again, no thank you.

I also think teachers get used to bullies because they act out so frequently and just accept their behavior as default, so they subconsciously think yeah that kid is supposed to hit other kids, but it was weird the quiet one flipped out all of a sudden (flipped out meaning acted exactly like the kid they ignore does all the time)
Im American. All the people who think the laws were never meant to apply to them already have more guns than I have friends. And when they die, their likely rotten kids will get them. I can either accept that I live in a country where only terrible people have guns(this includes the cops). Or I could do something about it and take my sefety into my own hands. Really simple choice at the end of the day.
