Perhaps then, for the sake of pedantry, a better fitting word could be “compatible”.

Playing devils advocate here. I saw the C3 presentation of the Asahi Linux team back in December, they showed that while Apple is not contributing to the project, they’re intentionally leaving the door open to install other OSs, not trying to “block FOSS”.
AFAIK you don’t need the remote, there’s a combination of turning the bulbs on/off a couple of times to reset them, and then you can add them using touchlink. The process is a bit tedious, but it works.
Funny you mention mountains, Monterrey has tons of them, and although they have no snow on them, it’s a great place to go if you like the climbing or hiking type of eco-tourism.
I have the 2-bay ugreen with unraid. Works good. Make sure to turn off the watchdog in the bios!
The freedom is there, the consequences too!
Looks great, I did a very similar upgrade about 1.5years ago, also from 7600K to 5600 (non-x). I kept my Vega64 GPU. Runs smoothly for my needs (some light 3D modeling in Blender and light gaming: The Forest 2, RDR2, even HL: Alyx on the Index runs fine). It was almost 2x as expensive than yours back then, but I also went for an SFF build with a B550i.
They just released zigbee relays
Hey OP, I just installed Fedora KDE as dual boot on my desktop (slowly transitioning from Windows) and I can vouch for what the person above you is saying. Good luck, and feel free to ask anything. I’m no expert, but I can at least listen.
There was, and then some guy put it to the test á la mythbuster style. I’ll leave the conclusion for you to enjoy
Like Apple? Not trying to sound snarky, but they wouldn’t be the first or only ones.
