Who'd thunk it someone from the damn Bush family pushing for conflict. Something Prescott's son, George, did and George's son, Dubya did. If Jeb actually got into office, surely he'd go to war too.

So, they take Maduro himself.

And replace him with a loyalist to Maduro.

...Okay then...

I guess I'm easy to please, but, recently I got myself a better bluetooth dongle over the holidays. I had one before, but it was stupid cheap, connection was frail and didn't have good range. Now I have one with Bluetooth 5.4 and I'm amazed with what I can do with it.

I can funnel sound to any one of my bluetooth speakers so I don't have it hogging my main speakers when I want something close by me.

Speaking of which, I wish I had really known this far earlier in my days of using a computer. But, being able to split audio in multiple ways. I can assign where sound is going to, program to program. One browser gets these headsets, that browser gets the TV speakers .etc

That kind of shit amazes me and damn shame I never explored this before.

Wow, how predictable, the game everyone has waited on for so long is GOTY.

I just roll my eyes at all of the winners while making a cock-jerking motion with my hand to symbolize the circle jerking the Steam community gets off on.

Nope, can't go with that. That's how they win, is you doing nothing.

The region’s future must be determined by people themselves, free from the shadow of empire

I have a problem with that line. Maduro has been president of Venezuela since 2013. Just, how long would it take for the people there to free themselves? 50 years? Never?

I mean look at the American people, we're no different. We keep talking about revolution, civil war, assassination. We've only maybe have a couple of near misses, but the rest are just nothingburger after nothingburger. We still willingly wake up, go to work, come back home and repeat everyday while we glue ourselves to the news just getting vicariously pissed off and yet we do dick about it. We just grip onto voting like they're rosary beads in hopes things turn around and only then do we proclaim we've done something, only allowing the villains we've elected previously, to get off scot-free.

And even then, that doesn't promise anyone that we won't stupidly elect another dictator of our own.

I would rather die in my sleep, than being told I have a certain amount of time to live by.

Because that's what I always saw death as, just permanent sleep.

I didn't know he did it twice. Christ, these sycophants do everything in such a tone-deaf but deliberate fashion.

Look at his face when he did it the first time, it's so forced and everything. It's about as tonedeaf as Alex Jones sitting there with a stupid fucking look on his face, with a hitler moustache.

If you commit suicide right now, you are letting them get the last laugh.

Good, great, your disappearance has harmed those close to you because you allowed an american dictator get to you by his actions.

This is why I do not wrap myself tightly with political news and news in general.

Besides, I would rather someone attempt to stop this psychopath Luigi-style than just offing themselves because of this. You would be remembered as a hero.

Title and post context are having a hard time coexisting with eachother.

[–] pyrinix@kbin.melroy.org 2 points 14 hours ago

In some ways, I'm not.

In other times, when I want to simply drop cold-hard truths or unfiltered opinions. People lose their minds. We're not ready for those kind of thoughts, both surface web and fediverse, even.

Except they're women and America has practiced twice now that as soon as they see a woman as running for president, most men go "OOGA BOOGA! NO WOMAN! NO!".

I think not. My hope for this country to be patriotic over, has cratered and cratered year after year. I just live here. That's my stance. I live here, I pay taxes in contempt, I buy things in contempt in this country and I unwillingly sustain my living through what I have to pay for in contempt. Oh and I work and have worked jobs that I didn't like that support this country's function in contempt.

America's history has just been fucked up, we are lead to believe that our founding fathers had good intentions for the country after we kicked Britain out from the country. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution was all a feel good moment for everyone for a young upstarting country on its road to that independence.

Then as each passing decade was built upon, it became clearer the kinds of people that took advantage of the country for one's gains. And those people were the loud majority and instilled their ideas on a simpler world in a simpler country. Their causes, ideas and projections blossomed and took hold on every single life that lived in the US.

We have owners of this country now and it's not the People/Public, for sure. Because that's who's ideals and dreams that were planted to take root into this country. We can't possibly sink anymore lower than we have, because we're there at rock bottom. A convicted felon, pedophile rapist is a president. We've had war criminals as presidents before, but this has been a new low.

And even if shithead-in-chief is out of office. There's nothing I can think of, that will restore America to whatever former glory it had. It's just dead.

The point is, America has thrown out formalities. If we think we're justified to do shit, we're going to be firing missles. We did just that!

We're not that country anymore. Anyone can bring up WW2 and whatnot, well guess what? During WW2, America had dignity. We don't now, not for a while. We just shoot first, ask questions never. That's how it's been for a while.

The US firm faced a difficult year with unease over chief executive Elon Musk’s political activities and stiff overseas competition.

I've been thumbing over my disc book collection to discard what movies I have that I know I won't ever watch. And I'm finding all of these editions to them. Like 25th Anniversary, Ultimate Edition, Director's Cut .etc .etc

And I've always wanted to see someone like some movie buff, detail the differences between a movie when it was originally released on tape, on disc or whatever. Then describing what the differences are in later releases from the original release.

I know some channels on YouTube do this but they're always like side-mentions or one movie will be covered. There's no one dedicated channel out there that does this and I'm not much of a movie buff to try myself.

I would totally be watching that channel a lot if it was ever made.

I'm a semi-private individual. In that, I will speak of things I am comfortable talking about by my own filtering. Once I let it out and speak of it, it could very well mean that I was comfortable posting that and almost nothing can make me feel guilt or embarrassment of saying it.

One thing I have observed people slipping on is that, people tend to have no filter. So they go on and on and on about themselves, not having a sense of the mind to think that someone out there, anywhere, could be documenting them. Sadly, there are those people that are out there.

On one hand, someone just wants to communicate, project themselves, let others know who they are. On another hand, they won't know whether or not they're being documented so that in turn, are re-broadcast to another community or someone else who is gonna just have a field day with some aspects of what you spoke about that could later crop up when you least expect it.

Often times you'll hear people say that they don't care what others think. It's funny how most of the time that is uttered and it is challenged, people end up folding pretty fast at times. It implies that yes, you do to a degree, care about what people think of what you've said.

So this is why I'm semi-private. If I have the thought of 'I don't think I'm that comfortable talking about this' then it is simply not spoken of. I think some people need to occasionally think that way.

There is some truth to the unwritten rule of the internet where, you shouldn't gush too much about all aspects of your life. Reserve that for online journals or blogs.

I think when it comes to blocking people, I can see some improvement there. I'm all about the idea of not adding fuel to the fire in the form of pointless online arguments and conflicts.

I see so many online platforms just fucking fail at the ways they try approaching that issue. Most places would let you block a user but they can still see everything that the blocked user has said. Like that opens the doors to exploiting and archiving. It is one thing if you're logged out and can see things site-wide than it is still being logged in and seeing what was said.

When I block someone, I want to be a ghost to them. I want them to not see anything I've said and I wouldn't want to see anything they've said either. I don't want to block them and find out they engage me on an alt just with things to continue the bullshit with.

I think the Fediverse has corrected that aspect that, when you log off, you can't see shit. So it prevents that. Though that's practiced from the instance I'm on for all I know.

However, when logged in and still blocking people, they can still see what was said by those who blocked them.

Furthermore and this is a bit of a controversial part, is that, I think moderation logs to be open is a bad idea. Again, it is to me, just one more thing to add to the fuel of a fire that isn't being let to wind down. Because people often jab and joust at others with shit like "LOOK WHUT U DID IN THUH MODERATION LOG!" and that just does nothing but escalate.

I think with some of these kinds of corrections, would promote the idea of a healthier ecosystem for the community.

Coming home too damn tired to do anything else, even including chores, is top for me.

I have dishes lying around, laundry needing to be done at somepoint, some extra small tasks to do. But, trying to go 'above and beyond' for a shitty job just leaves you with nothing left to do them, having to waste time off to finally do them.

I'm in a building that's not my home, for 8 hours (used to have some days where it was 10 hours), a night. Where my company tries to tell me to treat their building that I work in, as a second home. Dealing with all of these tasks that ultimately mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Dealing with people who conveniently forget a lot of the time, as to how to be a normal human being and they being at your expense.

And in addition to coming home too damn tired to do anything else, I'm sometimes worrying if what I'm making now for however many hours, is enough to cover everything I need to have or want to have.

I think that, somewhere north of $1 ~ $5 million is life-changing on its own. There's no need for someone to have tens of millions or hundreds of millions. Tens of millions is like, changing multiple lives in a family with how much that can stretch.

Whenever someone has billions to their name, it is boggling to think about. That it becomes just 'fuck you' money at that point because more often than not, not a lot of billionaires out there being charitable. When they know they're set for a few lifetimes just by a single billion alone.

No single person should ever have that amount of gross wealth.

'Mouth Breather'

Like yeah I don't get this one. We all breathe through our mouths (and noses), because we have to. Yet I read this sometimes as it is used like an insult. So what are you saying? You're insulting someone for doing what billions of other human beings have to do naturally?

I've been listening to Jesse 'The Body' Ventura interviews and I can really listen to that man talk for hours. I may find some of the subjects he goes on about a little off-the-rails but I still love hearing his voice.

Whether it's going back to work after a long period of time off. Knowing the world or your country has gone to shit. Feeling like your life is stagnant. We all need to cope some to get it through and make it another day.

I personally eat, it's not a good way to cope since it can lead to health issues but it sometimes helps.

I also sometimes re-watch or re-listen to things over and over. Of things that make me feel a little comfortable to watch and listen to again. YouTube videos I hadn't watched in a while, songs I haven't listened to forever or maybe go another few rounds of listening to an old podcast long out of syndication.
