For standard posts I say it is. I don’t really use stories.

Adobe has been subscription based now for over a decade I think. Doesn’t really work anymore to whine about that.

Also, as much as people hate subscriptions, Adobe doing it has overall been a REALLY good thing, cause it has removed the barrier to entry for sooo many people.

People forget how unbelievably prohibitively expensive the Adobe products used to be, especially if you wanted the full suite.

So much this. More experienced photographers love to be elitists and say things in a very snarky, “imverysmart” sort of tone.

Even when they’re saying true statements like “the gear isn’t important, it’s the photographer”, it’s just the way they say it sometimes that’s really obnoxious and annoying.

Personally it peeves me when photographers go out of their way to break the format of instagram sizing when posting photos.

Instagram is for square photos. Post square photos. Stop making borders on the top and bottom. You can post the size you want on Flickr, your portfolio, or somewhere else. Or just don’t post every photo on Instagram.

Personally I often find myself having to add more of a blue filter over photos sometimes if I’m editing a photo more to my liking color-wise. So many have that orange tint to them like you say.

As with everything, moderation is key.

I love organizing shit, and so I don’t mind giving hours of my life towards doing something I enjoy.
