The Frisbeetarian concept actually comes from a George Carlin joke, but I genuinely thought it was one of the most beautiful afterlife concepts I'd heard so I choose to believe it. That our souls are still here, but also at rest.

It gets worse. Visiting a friend recently, they tried to give me an old Kindle, (which I politely declined). They have a drawer of about 6 old ones because they can't help buying the latest every sale. They don't even read that much!!

As a practicing Frisbeetarian, I believe your soul lands on a roof and gets stuck there. You just get to watch as time and people pass by for all of time.

Exactly, it sounds like your town is big enough to have/deserve decent transit, but small enough that a small vocal group could have a big impact.

Get involved, show up, campaign for/against politicians that support/oppose improvements. If you can find a friendly counselor (don't discount anyone, you never know who might already quietly support a special interest like this) to meet with you, get their help to make a list of practical improvements that could be enacted now/quickly, focus your activity around these (for now). Work to mobilize other bus takers/cyclists/young people/older pensioners who are more reliant on transport. Contact local press, write letters to the editor, befriend a local reporter. Consider planning a small demonstration, but keep the tone very friendly, you are trying to convice and even befriend people who maybe didn't care or know about the issue. Frame the debate in an inclusive way (i.e. rush hour traffic is terrible, wouldn't bike lanes and bus lanes improve things for everyone, even car users?)

You don't have to do all of the above, just what you can to move the needle. Local politics can actually be a lot more rewarding than national, because you have a chance of seeing a real impact.

Yeah, totally. Like any new product it will take some experimenting. I think I read it's exceptionally lean, but tender, more like veal minus the cruelty. I get why they went burger, but almost certain to have better uses (STEAK!).

Not a fan of most of the impossible stuff, still tastes too earthy, but I love seitan and good tofu used well.

Temporary or not, these sort of bans will delay the growth (pun not intended, but I'll take it) of these industries when time is of the essence. But Italy's government is not exactly forward thinking at the moment.

Have they perfected lab-grown ketchup, because that burger looks dry AF.

But seriously, just another boneheaded, corporate masquerading as populist move. This doesn't protect consumers or farmers, it protects profits.

So in the UK every mobile operator has to offer a spend cap. I roam a lot (and pay £10 a month for free roaming to the US and EU) so I set a £10 cap. It took seconds and I will never get a surprise bill. This was beyond careless.

In the first episode of Picard, playing chess with Data... "Because I don't want the game to end." Man, on so man levels, it was a few weeks before I could even say that line without getting choked up.

I grew up as a little boy watching every TNG with my dad, I don't want the game to end either.

I asked Bard to give me a generic reason for firing a CEO.

Certainly, here are some vague reasons for firing the CEO of an AI company:
Leadership concerns: The CEO's leadership style or personal conduct was not in line with the company's values or culture. This could include issues such as lack of transparency, poor communication, or ethical breaches.

Yup.

And can I just add... DAMN he's aged well. That beard is on point.

I will disagree 100%. That didn't happen.

And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, they deserved it.

Just finishing what he meant for him.

I want to believe that this

Airbnb is also making an undisclosed donation to Feeding America — the United States’ largest hunger relief organization — as part of the promotion.

Is the "payment" that they are receiving. Just more warm vibes. But if anyone has more details and wants to further shatter my faith in humanity, go ahead.
