Sorry, I think I'm asking my question poorly, what I mean is instead of

image: tensorchord/pgvecto-rs:pg14-v0.2.0@sha256:90724186f0a3517cf6914295b5ab410db9ce23190a2d9d0b9dd6463e3fa298f0

Which clearly requires user interaction, why not take that out of users' hands and just have

image: tensorchord/pgvecto-rs:latest-stable

Which is effectively what they're using anyway? I can understand freezing on a version when the upstream removes a feature, but that's not happened and even so, why do they need the SHA verification? Sorry if it seems stupid and straight forward, this is the only container I host that does this and so I'm trying to understand it rather than just feel aggrieved by it.

That's really cool.

I don't understand. Why are they so specific in the Docker Compose? Why not just have a Docker that pulls the latest of each package without requiring the user to copy long strings?

The corners seem too curved.

That's really cool. I love the way the global communities are growing on Lemmy.

This is my first time learning about Sunshine/Moonlight. How does it work? Does it run via an emulator? Is there an official way to get games?

I haven't tried, but you might be able to add a YouTube server in Symfonium

Let's be honest though, "don't set a wallpaper, in case they track you" is extreme. It's the privacy equivalent of the £1000 Ethernet Cables.

Hmmm. I feel like this is one of those long-term studies that would be quite exciting? Am I wrong to be a little bit excited about programs learning how to guess correctly what should be where and subsequently how things should sound?

My plan was to get one of those flying saucer looking WAPs to handle the WiFi. Would that work?

Runs off to look up LibreCMC 😂

That's at least ten things that are incorrect.

Based on the little experience I have of the way you talk about audio, I can say without a doubt that whomever you teach will count themselves lucky. You're passionate and you speak clearly, not over complicating things nor dumbing them down. I'm going to definitely keep an eye out in the audio topics for your posts as well as keep my fingers crossed that you another chance to teach!

Well this is an interesting proposal

So excited

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this.

In order to read communities in foreign languages, you need to have selected that language in your profile. However, I noticed most around select a smaller selection, which totally makes sense. That said, I was wondering what is the actual hardware impact of enabling more languages? Does it require a lot of disk space. I've finally started meeting some people from further afield and I'm grateful for that and hope to see, is it likely to be the language settings that's prevented that until now or am I just not looking around enough?

Thank you in advance for settling my curiosities.

WTF

We always come across something or another that makes us shout WTF. Now we have a community to host it and with a fantastic vanity URL to boot.

What are your favourite communities so far?

You don't need to join lemmy.world. Just a heads up.

I just randomly went into a thread and saw I was mentioned, I had no clue about. Checked the mentions tab in Jerboa, it's empty. Go onto the website and look there, empty too. Set to view ALL and it's still empty. Anyone seeing similar?
