Cities can absolutely pass enforceable gun laws. She brought a firearm into a prohibited place, that's not a right.
And concealed carry should be exactly that. If people can easily see it, that's effectively brandishing (in areas without open carry). That was made abundantly clear at the CC class I attended. Now it's open carry here and doesn't matter.
To a point. After that you're just making more smoke, and washing out the cylinders, drastically reducing the engine's life. I take some consolation in the fact that most of the bros rolling coal will absolutely not be able to afford a replacement engine once they trash theirs.
If you have to use any kind of deadly force in self defense, it is always in your best interest to be the first one on the phone with 911. Police aren't known for their critical thinking, so the first story they get is most often they one they are going with until proven otherwise.
If one of the teens had called 911 and said some creepy guy catfished and physically assaulted them first, this story would probably read a lot differently.
Disclaimer: Not victim blaming. More of a PSA. And really one of the very very few times I would recommend calling the police.
I think it is a write off
Only if they are registered as a nonprofit. I couldn't find it mentioned anywhere. It will be a big deciding factor when people look to donate.
I think they are also enough to see it as a better alternative to a guillotine
I think that's delusional. No offense.
We will need a diverse range of incomes in order to make sure enough money is flowing that those who are truly struggling come out ahead. And in order to grow the community, we’ll need to continue attracting a portion of members who will be putting in more money than they’ll receive as a payout. So the question arises whether people with higher incomes will be interested in joining the platform to knowingly support others.
Completely disregarding the possibility for fraud; what is in it for these higher income earners that will be essentially funding the project? Warm, fuzzy feelings? The only way I can see it possibly working is if Comingle is a 501(c)(3) and the contributions are able to be written off as donations.
Just my 2 cents.
"Kicking them out of their camps is surely the motivation they need to become productive members of society."
It's also illegal to buy. To purchase a firearm from a FFL holder you must fill out ATF form 4473. In which you state that you are not under indictment (among other things). If you lie, that's perjury.
Edit: You also cannot purchase a firearm as an out of state resident. But you can pay for it, have it shipped to a FFL holder in your state, and then purchase it from them. But you still have to fill out the form there. So he probably did actually buy it, and now some Florida gun store owner is going to get to keep it.
While I agree. As someone who as been to South Carolina gun stores. PSA is probably one of the tamest.
As per the most recent 4473 (updated Aug 2023), which you must fill out to purchase a firearm for a dealer, still has the question:
Are you under indictment or information in any court for a felony, or any other crime for which the judge could imprison you for more than one year, or are you a current member of the military who has been charged with violation(s) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and whose charge(s) have been referred to a general court-martial?
And if the person answers "yes" on that question, it will not be accepted. So, presently the ATF either doesn't care, or is waiting on a supreme court ruling.
but less attention has been paid to Trump’s decision to visit Palmetto State Armory, as opposed to any other gun store in South Carolina.
Palmetto State Armory is one of the largest online firearms manufacturer/retailer in the nation, much less South Carolina. And they produce all kinds of tacky crap with his name and face on it. So it doesn't surprise me he'd stop there. I'm betting it's more narcissism than a secret coded message.
