yeah that’s rough, I can imaging even more traumatizing with someone you had a relationship with. unfortunately no matter how much we might want a graceful resolution, when someone crosses boundaries like that there’s no “good” way to handle it—they have already forced you in a position where you are being hurt, trapped, or defenseless. there needs to be some level of consequence when boundaries are crossed like this, otherwise the same problems just get worse and worse over the years. i think the most important thing is to not internalize it as part of your identity. that’s not who you are at all, it was a reasonable decision you made quickly in a dangerous situation. even animals have boundaries and will lash back if you cross them, and unfortunately there’s a lot of people that won’t understand unless they really feel it

if you have an iPhone I use the R Download shortcut and it lets you download a lot of things through the standard share menu

even though it seems justified, I can image that’s a lot to deal with emotionally

I’ve been loving pi.ai for this, it seem to have far more emotional intelligence than any others I’ve tried

Are you able to run LLMs on your own computer?

If so:

Phi3 is surprisingly good for its size and speed too

It’s become my main stem. My neck is extremely tense and slowly in more and more pain and I’m getting concerned… can anyone else relate or offer tips?

It’s called Pi and it’s a conversational AI made to be more of a personal assistant. In the bit of time I’ve used it, it’s done far better than I expected at reframing and simplifying my thoughts when I’m overwhelmed.

Obviously, talking to a real person is much better if possible, but the reality is some of us don’t have the finances to pay for therapy or other ways to cope with the anxiety/depression that so often comes with ASD. What are your thoughts on this?

@taetaetoofs@lemmy.world was talking about tornadoes and it was really interesting, figured I’d see what other cool things we all know

I’m looking for a simple way to manage and deploy services/web apps to a machine of mine. I want the least amount of maintenance as possible, easy updates, and easy deployment as much as possible (obviously you're paying for convenience with those services so it can only be so easy). I’m hoping for a solid web UI to manage everything through. Has anyone here had a good experience with anything like this on their own machines?

I have some complex touch interactions and am looking for a lightweight touch/gesture library to help me handle them. Interactjs is great, but it’s a fairly large bundle. Other top ones are not maintained anymore it seems.
