i get and agree with the sentiment that donald trump will be worse in relation to the unbridled support of genocidal israel

but framing 40,000+ murders as “you haven’t seen shit yet” is inappropriately dismissive. we have fucking seen shit. have some empathy when you use other people’s suffering to justify your internet argument.

i need this information to start being treated as the act of oppression it is rather than the “americans dumb lol” framing i see even in leftist spaces.

americans, and disproportionately minority americans, are being intentionally refused education in the same way they are refused medical care—in service of cost cutting and privatization interests rather than public wellbeing and economic wellness.

thank fuck there’s at least one other angry & correct person online

you don’t get to capitulate to donald trump’s racist violent classist framing on everything for years and be held blameless after the fact.

not defending the bogus use of the cloud to host sensitive data, nor do i unquestioningly believe this? but correcting the record since you did 80% of the work in finding the link:

Be assured that the sensitive health data you track in the Clue app is never shared with or sold to advertisers, or any partners whose services we may recommend in Clue.

If you actually read what you sent it seems like the only data that is shared to advertisers is standard marketing stuff like IP, device ID, age group, and location. Still bad and I stand with others recommending locally hosted FOSS alternatives.

thanks, i have corrected my misreading in an edit. apologies for any undue hard feelings.

“women deciding what to do with THEIR bodies will eventually face the opposite (further misogyny) and that’s THEIR fault, actually”

sexism apologia? upvoted on my fediverse? it’s actually not a fucking surprise. this place is a toxic masculine hellhole

for the record, in no case is it acceptable to blame the self-preserving actions of a minority for radicalizing the majority. that is the language of abuse and oppression.

says that the Democrats have a messaging problem with working-class voters

Every other comment here is ignoring this word to the point it almost seems intentional. Read it carefully. Low-income union voters who swayed Republican are voting against their self interests, yes. But this was not adequately communicated to them.

This union leader isn’t saying that union voters are blameless. They are saying that union voters were fed destructive information which compounded with existing white supremacist and conservative bias.

Lemmy read the post challenge, impossible.

are you allergic to believing that two things can be true at once

[–] spujb@lemmy.cafe 0 points 6 days ago

this would be cool info to have. do you think there is a state by state or municipality breakdown that shows the degree to which me not tipping is a burden to the staff? /gen would be slay to have in my bookmarks!

In my country

yeah this is how we know it’s okay to ignore the rest of your comment. really rich of you to preach virtue on the actions of alienated individuals under a system far more oppressive and antagonistic than your own. really makes a powerful argument.

[–] spujb@lemmy.cafe 0 points 6 days ago

yes. you accidentally hit on the decent thing to do. if you can’t afford tipping in the context of a system that forces individuals to rely on it, go buy groceries.

banger of a comment, you deserve some sort of compensation for this contribution

(i do not believe what the title says.) not only is this an unpopular opinion it is false; mods are clearly not doing shit here lol. (feel free to disprove me mods 🫶)

how do we report this to admins? an unmoderated community with 7k users/mo is dangerous and, worse, no fun!

other post i made on the subject

sven don’t you think i’m right?

several posts per day here are a clear troll posts and bids for drama but are not removed. until this community’s mods start acknowledging and responding to this problem, this community is simply providing a platform for drama fiends who get off on making you upset. simply put, this is both destructive and frankly not fun.

and i’d like to point out that reddit’s r/unpopularopinion bans political posts. not saying that this is the best move for this sub in particular, but it is something that can perhaps give guidance on what can be done.
