Not denying that. But maybe we should accept that photos and memes and whatnot aren’t that valuable and limit their size or the volume allowed per user. Just a thought.

Is file hosting really a must? I mean Reddit and feddit are basically forums. And not many forums allow file uploads. Also, we should have retention limits. Low value posts are allowed to fade away. High value posts that have some level of interaction stay alive longer.

Thank your buddy Putin for throwing the wheat prices off all over the globe. It’s not just the US that has felt inflation. But your head is so far up your ass you can’t recognize that.

I think he’s a symptom of a much larger disease. The people behind him, the evangelicals, non college educated whites, the climate change deniers, the industrialists who fight every regulation, the behind closed doors racists. These are the democracy extinction harbingers.

They worship money and power, the corruption is almost complete. Basically they are the empire, and we are the rebels. May the Jedi, rise again.

What is so hated about snaps? I’ll admit I haven’t used Ubuntu since they started using snaps, but I don’t understand the hate about them in the Linux community.

At least you aren’t having to manage your windows install. I feel for corporate IT departments having to figure out how to disable so much and still keep the OS running.

Yeah, I know it’s a pipe dream, but really, there should be something that opens source code up. Too much company history gets lost or forgotten because people forget. Plus think about how much value you can gain as a student seeing how people accomplished things with minimal resources.

Man, I had a vtech “computer” as a kid in the later 90’s. I don’t remember what happened to it or what it was even actually good for.

Pretty sure this is what I had.
