I'd like to see T'Lyn go more and more renegade through association with the LD crew just eroding her Vulcan discipline. Then have her parents show up and accuse her of acting like a Romulan or something.

This was actually possibly my favourite episode this season.

  • I loved T'Lyn loosening up and allowing herself to be real friends with Tendi and Mariner.
  • I loved the modern extrapolation of the Orion world building from Enterprise. The nightclub and the BDSM pheromone dungeon were both hilarious and believably what Orions would be doing a couple hundred years later.
  • I loved the Syndicate crime lords being like "also, we want you to get your shit out of the garage."
  • While I thought the girl's story line was way more fun than the boy's story line, that was because the boy's story line was par for the course good Lower Decks content, while the girl's story line was top shelf. Boimler and Rutherford both playing Mark Twain was hilarious.

Awesome.

If you get inspired to keep going after Wolf 359, I'd love to see the Battle of Chin'toka get this treatment.

Glory to you, and your house.

This reminds me of Rainbow's End by Verner Vinge, where fan communities become large and organized enough to have meaningful political clout (and their online flame war conflicts can have actual significant impacts on society) and of the Poseidon's Children books by Alastair Reynolds where ideas like "Panspermia" become post-religious life philosophies that people commit themselves to.

And I think of all the examples I can think of, I would join the Panspermians from Poseidon's Children. The idea that we could choose to have purpose and that our purpose could be spreading life to dead rocks throughout the universe, because it's beautiful and worthy and a living rock is much more precious than a dead one is something I could really throw myself into.

Has anyone made a Linux dad jokes community?

Enjoy my workflow.

It may sound glib, but I REALLY mean it.

I love LD and I mostly like SNW. Discovery lost me near the end of season 2 (and almost lost me several times before). As others have said, the good characters went to SNW (except for Saru).

If you want an actually good show that has similar energy to what Disco was going for, while being majorly disloyal to it's source material (also like Disco) watch Foundation.

Ecstatic enthusiasm. Star Trek dot website is back.

Whenever it rains this happens. 2014, it happened going in and people were stranded in a 3 day traffic jam. I actually had a really good time.

Seems impractical and likely to cause a different set of problems.

If something like this is added to Stable Diffusion for instance, the OpenSource community will quickly create forks and tools to remove it.

Also seems likely that the Stable Diffusion crowd will create tools to ADD this watermark to images that are otherwise real... thus calling the authenticity of any image into question.

It's amazing how for a culture that fetishizes "freedom" we're willing to accept a reality where you have to give it up for half your waking life just to live and provide for your family.

I wish we would stop.
